EIA signal lost means the cable was unplugged/interface disrupted
electrically - you would want to check for things like bad transceiver,
circuit going down, duplex/speed mismatches on a switch etc.

Subject: [nv-l] Trap variables

Hi all:

Could someone help me??

I would like to know what is the meaning of the sentence "EIA signal lost"
produced by a cisco router when a Interface become down.
We can cometimes find it like the "locIfReason" variable in a
Cisco_Link_Down trap.

What might be the others reasons to generate the Cisco_Link_Down trap.

Thank you very much in advance:

Jose M.
