Hi NetView Gurus,
I have a strange problem with NetView.
Env:
NetView 7.1 + IY25940
AIX 4.3.3.0.9
TMF 3.7.1+TMF0032+TMF0033
I installed a fresh copy of NetView 7.1. Although with previous versions
(6.0.2), it was discovering approx. 200 nodes (without seed file
definitions) in just one or two hours of first startup, with version 7.1
did not discover this much nodes, just 15-20 nodes in 1.5 days. If I start
"ping" to an address, NetView (as expected ) discovers this node.
I did not do any customizations on NetView options and daemon options.
Also another problem:
Some of the nodes it discover, NetView states the subnetmask of the node as
255.255.255.0 although it is 255.255.248.0.
These nodes are not snmp enabled.
