Remember that if you are in a switch network, sniffing is not very
straightforward. For a sniffer to be useful in these environment you must
have a good understanding of what packets ride what ports and you must be
able to effectively mirror ports on the switch in the right places. I'm not
trying to talk you out of a sniffer, just remind you that this is pretty
tricky.
