Subject: [nv-l] Netview snmp data
collection
Hi,
I have a question about snmp data collection. As we know, If we set to
collect IfInOctets data by snmp data collection, the ifInOctets does the
following: [ifInOctets(t2)-ifInOctets(t1)]/(t2-t2) with t2 and t1 expressed
in seconds. So we have the octets rate average during that period of time
(since t1 to t2). But when we set to collect some mib data, it may use
absolute mib value. My question is : Under what circumstance, does netview
use average data instead of using the absolute mib value? Thanks a lot
Best regards,
Luowei
