IF you are on 7.1 and running the web client, it has the read-write map,
Run "netivew -dconsole" from the command line and it should suspend
the web sessions and give you the read-write map. The web sessions
will resume when you shutdown the map on the console.

If this is not the case you need to check a couple of this. First make sure
there are no other maps, running ovwexit from the command line should
stop all the ovw processes. Once that completes try to start the map again.
If you still have a read only map, you need to check the permissions on
the /usr/OV/databases/openview/map/default directory and make sure
there is write permissions based on your user/group settings. If not look
at the ovwchmod and ovwchown commands.

If you are using NetView security you will want to make sure that you
have the necessary access to see the read-write maps.

Hope this helps,
Paul Stroud
