It was my understanding that Framework doesn't have to be installed on the
NetView server,
but the NetView server needs to be a managed node.

Acutally,

I don't believe framework has been a requirement for
for any versions of NetView.  I have always used it in
conjunction with framework, but don't believe it was
every a necessity.
