NetView 7.1.2 is a maintenance release of 7.1, so it has the same product
number of the as 7.1, which has the same product number as 6.0.
It is 5698-NVW. If you maintenance contract is current you may order by
sending a note to swdist @tivoli.com, which your customer number, you
company name, a contact person's name and phone number, and a shipping
address. Nothing new in this process.

What is the product number so I can order 7.1.2?

Sounds like an endorsement to me.

Thanks, James.

Check the Release Notes.

One feature, as Scott Barr and I mentioned, in the [CLI] Manage/Unmanage
thread this morning, is nvmaputil,
a command line utility available on all platforms, which will do any of
the following, without having the GUI up:
- Manage/Unmanage an interface or a node.
- Hide/Unhide an interface and its associated node (or nodes).
- Delete all symbols attached to an object.

Some folks will find this mighty useful.

It also contains about 30 APAR (bug) fixes over 7.1.1. Sorry but I don't
have a list ready because we are still closing them.

That's all I am prepared to say at the moment, because I don't have
anything more comprehensive at hand.

7.1.2 can be ordered now, I believe, but it is not officially GA until the

31st, I am told.

Whether you install now or wait for 7.1.3 is your choice, but the next
release is several months away so far as I know.

Hello Everyone.

I received my NV 7.1.2 for AIX CDs last week. And I'm wondering if I
should
just continue to enjoy my weekends. In other words, should I delay the
upgrade until NV 7.1.3 arrives. Are there some major improvements in
performance or features anyone can recommend?

Thanks very much.
