The whitespace is the blank line returned for each of those
nodes in your smartset which do not have a routerSysName.
That is, the non-routers. So to strip out those blank lines,
nvUtil l Cisco "%routerSysName%" | grep -v "^$"

Hello Everyone.
NV 7.1.2 on AIX 4.3.3
If you have a Cisco or other equipment collection (SmartSet), try this:
nvUtil l Cisco "%Selection Name%"
nvUtil l Cisco "%routerSysName%"
The output of the Selection Name version of the command contains no extra
characters. The line count of the output on both commands is the same but
the routerSysName nvUtil command includes a large amount of white space. Is
there an easy way within the nvUtil command to strip out these extraneous
spaces?
Thanks in advance.
