NetView 7.1.2 on NT 4 using Access database.

What I am considering is getting snmpCollect datafiles from a number of
Windows and Linux NetViews and combining them on one system to produce
reports - rather along similar lines that Brian Green was asking about
earlier today.

I have customised snmpCollect on NT to write to files as well as the
database and can see files growing in \usr\OV\databases\snmpCollect.
The manuals for snmpCollect say to get ASCII output using snmpColDump
(snmpodump)! snmpColDump doesn't seem to exist on NT and snmpodump
seems to only work on the Access database, not on the files in
\usr\OV\databases\snmpCollect. If I use snmpodump -t -T <filename in
\usr\ov\databases\snmpcollect> it comes back with "Not yet
implemented". I have also tried shipping these raw datafiles in
\usr\ov\databases\snmpCollect upto a NV 7.1 on AIX and running
snmpColDump but this fails (even after taking the ^M s off the ! file).

Am I supposed to be able to get ASCII output out of these datfiles?
Anyone else done work in the area or is the answer, as Todd says, to go
to MRTG.

Cheers,
Jane
