Hello list,
I have written a little piece of perl script that builds a file in
'location.conf' format from a running Netview database (I have done it with
Netview 7.12 on AIX, but I guess it is valid for other versions also).
The principle of the script is to retrieve the output of the 'ovmapdump -v'
command and get the hierarchy.
I put it here on the list for anybody interested in it, and would like to
receive any comment on it. I know some improvement is possible, for instance,
I I define a location beneath another one even if this latter does not exist
yet (is this valid ???).
Any input welcome,
Bernard Baudoux,
Fortis Banque.
