The V2 loader xnmloadmib2, like its predecessor, xnmloadmib, does not load
trap definitions. They are ignored. That's why the browsers do not show
them. Neither of them ever has. The idea has always been that you would
not browse a trap definition but rather, you would add it to trapd.conf.
Use mib2trap against the MIB and load the resulting trap defs into
trapd.conf using the addtrap output from mib2trap.
I believe that the java MIB loader provided in 7.1, mibloader.sh or
mibloaderpanel does load the trap definitions and you can then view them
with the java MIB browser, mibbrowser.sh, if that is really what you want
to do. But merely loading the MIB does not define any traps to trapd
(again, it never has) so you will still have to use mib2trap or the -
-mib2Trap option on the java loader and run the output script, sooner or
later.

Subject: [nv-l] SNMPv2 support under Netview (Veritas Cluster
Server question)
Netview v7.1.1 and AIX 4.3.3
Using xnmloadmib2, I have loaded a SNMPv2 MIB file called vcs.mib provided
by Veritas for monitoring Veritas Cluster Server. This file contains trap
definitions etc. Problem is that I am only able to look down to the
following level:
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.veritassoftware.products.veritasCl
uster.clustertraps.clustertrapsGroups.groupsTraps
or OID:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.1302.3.8.10.2.2
All child objects under this are missing. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Cheers,
Fawad Qureshi
