We use netview for alert and fault management of the network, but as a
report generator, getting the information easily to a variety of users, it
did not work for us. ugh

In the report and publighing area, we have used mrtg (http://www.mrtg.org)
for years now with much success. Moving now towards using rrdtool
(http://www.rrdtool.org) as the data archiver and grapher.. using this
not only for network data, but also lots of server performance data from
agents (netiq).

mrtg/rrdtool are the way to go IMHO.
