We want to use the WebConsole for our NOC personnel, but the NMC folks want to
use the client for access to the read-write map for map manipulation, etc.
So, my next question is if we just utilize the webconsole.... and with 7.1.2,
if you have netviewd running, you do not need to have the read-write map open,
what is the best way then, to open a read-write map? Do you have to stop
netviewd and then open another map or ?

Subject: Re: [nv-l] NetView Client
Have you considered the WebConsole as an alternative to the native NetView
Clients ? You would be able to use the Java based WebConsole of most platforms,
regardless of which platform the NetView Server (and thus the WebServer) is
installed on.
Also note that the NetView WebConsole can be launched via a browser such as
Netscape or IE (read the release notes for version limitations), or as a
stand-alone Java application if the appropriate binaries are downloaded from
the NetView Server according to the platform you wish to run the WebConsole on.

[nv-l] NetView Client
NetView 7.1.2 on AIX 4.3.3.10
We want to setup a NetView client. Can we intermix operating systems?
i.e. AIX and a solaris client or AIX and an NT client?
