Hi, I am having NetView 6.0.2 on AIX 4.3.3 Recently, we started getting repeated space problem for /var file system which very often touches 100%. These seems to be some system generated files like ( Ex32496 etc.) under /var/tmp directory which are big enough and are having netview traps coming from routers. Can some one please suggest (a) why traps are accumulating here and can I delete the old entry? (b) why TNV is causing space problem for /var (c) can I delete old entry from snmpd.log which is also present under /var/tmp. Also, this TNV is being integrated with TEC and for sending TNV message to TEC, we are using wpostemsg to take care of caching of events when TEC is not available. Can some please suggest where these caching resides/happens and what files to look into? What precaution I should take as TNV administrator to take care of unnecessary stress on TNV because of caching? Regards,
