To mention one other Netscape caveat, when you invoke it from the CLI, you will want to use the "-install" option if running on a UNIX system. By providing the "-install" option, Netscape will not steal available colors from NV/6000 or other applications that may be running. $ Netscape -install Hope this helps. ______________________ Ken Karasek IS Network Management Hewitt Associates, LLC 100 Half Day Road Lincolnshire, Illinois 60069 Phone: 847.295.5000 FAX: 847.295.8877 The information transmitted is intended only for the person(s) or entity(ies) to which it is addressed. Each user has to be able to invoke Netscape from the command line. When they can do that, then NetView will invoke it just fine. The environment for NetView GUI is not distinct from the users who implement it. Each user who starts the NetView GUI must have the path to the netscape executable in his or her PATH and each user must export the Netscape environment variable MOZIILLA_HOME=<full path to netscape> . You set these in each user's .profile Hope this helps James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and NT Tivoli Software / IBM Software Group Marcos Antonio Pezzutti Filho <pezzutti@banespa.com.br> 11/18/2002 08:04 PM To: "NV-L (nv-l@lists.tivoli.com)" <nv-l@lists.tivoli.com> cc: Subject: [nv-l] Netview 7.1.2 and Netscape Hi, AIX 4.3.3 ML10 Netview 7.1.2 I´d like to know how to configure Netview to call the Netscape ? I had to re-install the Netscape and now it was installed in another directory. It´s probable that Netview calls Netscape from a path different of the actual one. Where can I configure the actual path of Netscape ?? Thanks in advance Marcos Antonio Pezzutti Filho É Fone: 3837-1339 Ê Fax: 3837-1350 Newtrend - Tendências Tecnológicas Serv Inf.e Telecom Ltda.
