I fixed the problem with our new server not recognizing itself as a manager
- the problem was that we had installed a Fore ATM interface and it was the
Fore SNMP agent that was running on the server.
We are still have a problem with discovery. NetView is discovering everthing
that can be discovered from routers on its ow local subnet including the
serial interface subnets on those routers. However, it goes no further. In
other words, it is not discovering anything offsite on the WAN.
We do use a seedfile but it only contains "@oid" entries. The netmon daemon
has been confgured to automatically discover "All Networks". I see nothing
of help in any of the log files. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
