[nv-l] Installation NV 7.1.2 on Suse Linux: jre missing?

Hello list,

I tried to install the above version on Suse Linux(7.3).
However the snmpserver and webserver are not starting, due to and empty
/usr/OV/jre/bin?

Should this Java Runtime Environment come with the installation or is the
jre a prerequisite for it?

I can't find this in the release notes.
Or is has pdksh something to do with it? 
I have a newer version than on the NetView CDROM.

Any help will be appreciated.
