Laurens,

NetView for Linux 7.1.2 was verified on Suse Linux 7.1;  other Suse
releases may fail during or after installation.
An empty /usr/OV/jre/bin is usually a result of a failed installation due
to file system space problems or incompatibility.
Check logs carefully, and look for abruptly ended logs which look like
scripts just quit or hung for no apparent reason.
Installation can fail in spurious ways because of an incompatible pdksh.
You should use the one on the NetView cdrom.

Hello list,

I tried to install the above version on Suse Linux(7.3).
However the snmpserver and webserver are not starting, due to and empty
/usr/OV/jre/bin?

Should this Java Runtime Environment come with the installation or is the
jre a prerequisite for it?

I can't find this in the release notes.
Or is has pdksh something to do with it?
I have a newer version than on the NetView CDROM.

Any help will be appreciated.
