Found page 19 of the 7.1.3 as was reading your mail. What I -did- do was
link ksh to bash at it at least got the indtall moving after I set the LANG
and LOCAL vars.
3 errors returned included:
ucd-snmp, pdksh, Xfree86Xvfb
Bringing the dev machine up to date as I write. I am hoping I wont run into
too many issues with RH 8.0, we will see.

The pdksh in included on the NetView CD, this is documented on page 19 on
the
NetView 7.1.3 Release Notes. As far as options, there are none, you must use
ksh for the install. This does not mean you need to change roots(or anyones)
shell, it just means you need ksh(from the NetView CD) installed and
available.
