Thread-topic: | NetView on Windows - Logged-in Console |
Hi, What do people do to address the requirement that the native client application has to be running on the NetView server? I've thought of a few options: - Manually login each time the server is bounced, start application (does it matter which user this runs as?) - Set up AutoAdminLogon and put a shortcut in the Startup folder (or the Run key etc.) - Run the application as a service with something like SRVANY (haven't tested this) I don't know a lot about NetView, but I'd love to know why the native client needs to be running on the server. Something about making maps available to web clients? How does this work on unix-based implementations? Just another process?
