Sandro,
I couldn't tell you.
Apparently you are unfamiliar with how the IBM request process works.
If you want to make a request, then you can contact your marketing rep or
call support, and they will open the enhancement request for you.
I'm not aware of any way you can see what's already been requested, but I
don't work in that end of things. There may be a way or perhaps the rep
may be able to tell you. I wouldn't know.

But requests are not given dates. And new features are never announced in
advance. If, and when, such a feature becomes part of the code, then it
will be announced in the announcement letter which says that the code is
now available.

While I cannot say for certain, I have been told that this feature is not
available because there is no Java class library which supports such a
thing. If that's the case, then I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the
feature. Remember that Java, the portable language, originates with Sun.

Has anyone requested this feature? If so when will it be added?

We are transitioning our NOC operators off of using the X11 version of
NetView to the Stand Alone Windows Java Console. We are running NetView
7.1.3 on AIX5. With the X11 version we can use background bitmaps, but
with the Java console we don't see them. How do I turn on background
bitmaps so I can see them via the Java Console?

Thank you,
Sandro Seminara
