[nv-l] Does NetView react to any TRAPS it receives?

All traps from our switches & routers are sent to NetView.  If NetView receives 
an interface down trap from a router, does it automatically do anything in 
response to the trap?  I thought I once heard that if NetView receives an 
interface down trap, it will automatically check the device it received the 
trap from?
