Yes, it is. In fact, there are comments at the top of the file on how to
do that. And it remains the only method for getting snmpCollect to gather
data from a MIB you can't load into the SNMP V1 loader, xnmloadmib.
Usually, if you mess it up, snmpCollect will just ignore your entry after
issuing an error message in his log. I have never seen it fail because of
a bad entry, though I suppose it is theoretically possible.
