I have been using ssh to open the X11 Netview Gui from behind a firewall
for years.
Recently I installed a new server running AIX 5.1 and ssh 3.4 and it could
not work anymore. According to the faq on openssh.org web site, there was a
change in openssh 3.1 to use the loopback address of the server for X11
forwarding and that makes every application using X11 R5 (including
Netview) not working. Applications using X11 R6 are not affected. The
parameter "X11UseLocalhost=no" changes the $DISPLAY back to the name of the
server but does not solve the issue.

Did any of you have any chance getting the Netview GUI to work with recent
versions of ssh ?

This capability is very important as it allow us to support clients on
remote sites (behind firewalls)

Thanks,
Salutations, / Regards,
