Maybe some one could jog my memory.
I am trying to get .com extension removed from a hostname from an incoming
Netview event. Can I influence that behavior at Netview or will I need to do
some TEC processing?
My real purpose is so that I can leave my Maintenance Mode integration in
place without recoding a bunch of stuff on both the Netview and Tivoli side
of things.

I few things to check and do -
1. increase the debug level on the proxy endpoint to level 3. This will
help you understand the possible cause of the problem. Most of the
installation errors are logged in the lcfd.log of the proxy.
2. make sure that the machines (proxy and new endpoint) are in the same
domain
3. it looks like you are using a domain account to do the installation. If
that assumption is correct, then make sure this account has Administrative
access to both boxes (part of the local Administrators group)

[TME-10][TMF] winstlcf not working on Windows 2000

Please respond to
tme10
Hi All,
I am trying to use winstlcf from a Windows 2000 TMR server to install a
Windows 2000 endpoint. The command keeps failing with the following error:
LCF Install failed for the following machines: (see lcfhost.err)
The command that I ran is as follows:
winstlcf -g zativ02+9494 -N zativ01 'za054071 w9\tivoli password`
Does anybody know whether there is a trick to this command? Is there
perhaps another syntax that works?
Thank you
