Thread-topic: Can MLM Receive, Reformat, and Send Traps?
We are using Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) to monitor distributed domain
controllers. We need to reformat traps coming from MOM and then forward them
on to CA-Unicenter. We are currently testing this using NetView 7.2 on AIX,
and it seems to work quite well.

Rather than use our NetView for this function, we'd like to off-load it to an
MLM, if MLM can do this? We've never used MLM.

Does MLM have the same function or ability NetView has to run scripts when an
SNMP Trap comes in? We need to be able to select fields from the incoming
trap, and generate a new trap that is sent to CA-Unicenter. Does it make any
difference if MLM is running on Windows versus Unix?

Thanks for any info,
