Yes, but I am not certain that is the answer you are actually looking for.

traps are forwarded in the same way as they are received -- as hex data in SNMP PDU packets.  MIBs, and their trap definitions, are only used to interpret  incoming traps for display.  Otherwise they are not necessary at all.  So no trap definitions from MIBs are needed on either system for the forwarding to occur.  

But how the traps display on the target system is  another matter.  They will be treated there as from any other source, just as they are on the originating system.  If the trap definitions are not in trapd.conf, then you will see the "no fmt found" message accompany them when they are displayed or logged.

        Since the MIBs are loaded on Netview if I forward traps to another system can it go to that system with out needing the MIBS to be loaded on that system also?
