Frank,
A little clarification on loading MIBs and TRAPs.
Loading MIBs per-se on NetView has no effect on how NetView interprets
TRAPs. You can use the NetView mib2trap command to load TRAP
definitions out of MIB files, into NetView.
If you are forwarding TRAPs from one NetView to another, you need to
configure those TRAPs wherever your system and/or your human operators
need to interpret them. If all you are doing at a sub-NetView is
forwarding on to a master-NetView based on the trap identifier (of
Enterprise OID, Generic Trap number and Specific Trap number), then I
wouldn't think you need to do TRAP customisation at the sub-NetView.
You probably DO want to do customisation at the master-NetView, if only
to let your human operators make sense out of it, rather than the "Trap
in no known format" default.
Cheers,
Jane

be loaded on that system also?
Thanks
