Well, you could probably reset the flag with nvdbformat I think, but if you did, my guess is that netmon would put is back again at the first demandpoll or config check.  By definition in NetView, a box with two interfaces and  IP forwarding turned on IS a router -- always has been.  You may not think so, but it is, and that's what the flag means.  So why would you want to turn it off?

All,

AIX 4.3.3 ML 10 + NetView 7.1.3 + popular patches

is there a way to manually change the isIProuter flag of a device ?

Scenario is :
- SNMP specifically *not* wanted with router belonging to telco

- router with 2 interfaces would still be nice on maps

- IPs of 2 interfaces added to /etc/hosts (same name) and seed file

- discovery OK except for isIProuter flag (currently a host as expected)

Best regards,

Philippe.
