If you installed 7.1.3 as the first NetView you've ever had on the
test server, the answer is most likely no at worst and "maybe, but
Tivoli won't dare support it and one mistake and you won't have a
startable NetView system." By default, 7.1.3 runs the tec_its_upgrade
scrips which pollutes your trapd with TEC_ITS_blah classes everywhere
that may not exist one your 7.1.2.

Yes. 7.1.2 is not supported on AIX 5.1. 7.1.3 is. You should
really go to 7.1.3 on your production server, then many of these
things can become easier.

But really the best way to have gone about this is to develop unix
shell scripts filled with addtrap commands to define the traps on your
test server--that way all you'd have to do is run the addtrap script
on your production server to get where you want to go. It's far
better than the risks involved with editing trapd.conf.

Good luck which ever way you go and don't forget to share how it turns
out.
