Yes, this tells you that netmon is a little behind for those nodes. If you check it from time to time, you should see the number of negative entries reduce until there are none. It is not unusual to see it be hundreds behind and then catch up in a couple of minutes. I use this behavior to tune the polling frequency and the number of concurrent polls ( big Q and little q in the netmon parameters). Worst case will be on netmon restart after an ovtopofix when everything is slated for a configuration poll.  The entries at the top of the list will be those the furthest behind, and I believe those are seconds.

I have many entries in my snmpList with negative values. I do not recall
what the negative number means. Thee are about 200 devices. If I recall the
negative number means that netmon is behind in polling. Is this correct? I
am getting many false node down messages.
