The choices for 'Ring-bit storage swapping flag' are none, ignore, and report. Set it to ignore. Cordially, Leslie A. Clark IBM Global Services - Systems Mgmt & Networking Detroit
Hi Group members, We are running the UNIX version of NetView 7.1.3 with FixLevels NVS(C)7130 and get a lot of Traps of the type "Host A reported different Link Address than obtained from Host B by SNMP" (Host A and Host B are Cisco Switches/Routers). According to the solution described in the nv-l mail from Mr. Oliver Bruchhauser on 2 April 2003, we changed the Netmon setting to "Ignore source route bit in physical address" to "yes". But unfortunately, this did not solve our problem. We are still flooded with "Different Link Address" Traps. Is there anything we can do in addtion to it ? Thank you very much for any help.
