I believe in V6, when you start netmon, it writes a record in /usr/OV/log/netmon.trace that indicates the status of RFI. It may call it by some other name. And it may only do it when it is enabled. I THINK it does not matter if there is a space or not. Cordially, Leslie A. Clark IBM Global Services - Systems Mgmt & Networking Detroit
I am trying to convince myself that I have setup a new netmon option correctly. I want to use the option -K0 to switch off RFI. I was not sure whether to use -K0 or -K 0. Both were accepted. Should either method work? I tried a bad value -K99 (because the release notes say the value can be 0 or 1 or 2) but it was accepted which is why I am asking how can I be sure netmon is using the new -K0 option successfully. There is no information about options written to netmon.trace as far as I can see. Perhaps the -K option is a mask which is why it takes bigger values, anyone know?
