okay, I have done it. Afterthen I did an reboot but:

svrzlm01.rzl.drv> ps -ef | grep OV

svrzlm01.rzl.drv> ls -al /usr/OV/sockets/

ovstart: unable to contact ovspmd: No such file or directory

don't worry it's a testingsystem :-) but I'll fix it!

Check for daemons that are up ( ps -ef|grep OV )
Shut down all daemons ( ovstop nvsecd -or- kill -9 <pid> )
Remove any lingering socket files (ls -al /usr/OV/sockets)  <==  usually
the problem you are having
Now test (ovstart nvsecd)

Hi list,

After the update to NV7.1.4 /AIX the ovstart is terminating with:   "
ovstart: unable to contact ovspmd: Connection refused  "

I have checked the /etc/snmpd.conf and snmpd is running (ps -ef)
