Thanks Mike,
I was hoping to do something with Netview without
purchasing a third party solution. Anybody else have any suggestions.
Thanks again Mike.

Dave,
We suffer from the same thing. Went to Magnum Technologies (Switch
Corelator folks) and sure enough, they had a fix that builds links between
the remote router and the local router interface (by passing the MPLS
cloud). You might want to talk to them.
Best of luck,
Mike

Hi All,
Does anyone out there monitor MPLS (Multiprotocol Lable Switching)
with Router Fault Isolation enabled? I am attempting it and the problem I
am having is when one of these locations go down, netview flags it as
Unreachable and turns the device white as it goes searching for the source
of the problem (which would be out in the internet cloud somewhere). . I
have a smartset setup for Problem Nodes that I added ( 'isUnreachable' =
True) to, but the
white unreachable nodes do not populate this smartset. Is there something
I could do to fake netview out so that it would actually alarm these nodes?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
AIX 5.1
7.1.4
Thanks, Dave
