Sounds to me like a duplicate address, or a nat'd address. Once netmon
is able to talk to SNMP the device is removed. This would
only happen in one of the two cases above. IE when netmon looks
at the interface table, the interface that was discovered is not in
the table. In any case, I would take a close look at the SNMP
information being provided by the router and make sure that
the address you are using for your loopback is not used elsewhere.
