Have you already checked with "lslpp -L" that you have all the file sets installed which are reported by NVprereq.sh

 

Two years before in one of the NetView 7.1.1 installation I had installed some filesets from AIX update CD just after performing an AIX 4.3.3 fresh installation.

The AIX CD's. Since we didn't migrate from AIX4, I would expect to find these libs in /usr/lpp. I'm thinking that my NVprereq.sh is running correctly.

Are you looking on the AIX CD's or the NetView ones? Those are AIX filesets.

We're building a new Netview at 7.1.4 on AIX 5.1. When I run the NVprereq.sh server I get back that I'm missing the bos/compat.links and x11.vfb filesets. I know this is proabably a simple question but I can't seem to find them on the installation CD's. What am I missing?
