Sure. xnmloadmib fails because osa030c.mib is an SNMP v2 MIB and xnmloadmib is for V1-only MIBs. The give-away is "MODULE IDENTITY" which is an SNMP V2-only construct. It does not exist in V1. So you have to use xnmloadmib2 xnmloadmib2 fails because there is an error in those MIBs, or at least he thinks there is. Each MIB element must have a unique label, and apparently that's not the case here. Error: Two child nodes of portEntry, portType(2) and portType(5), have the same lable. Without examining the MIB in detail I cannot tell you what to do, and I am not allowed to take user problems off the list. I suggest that you open a problem to IBM Support and send the MIBs to them for assistance. But if you want to try something else first, I would edit the MIB and change the labels. Find the portType(2) label and make say "portType2" without the parens, and portType(5) say "portType5" in the same way. The labels are not critical but the parens may be confusing the parser. As far as I know, a label should not contain them, but perhaps that's been relaxed at some point. If that's doesn't help, then please call Support. Dear, Our Environment: AIX 5.2 Netview 7.1.4 Framework 4.1.1 We are having difficults on loading OSA-Express MIB. We have downloaded osa333c.mib and osa030c.mib and have tried to load using xnmloadmib and xnmloadmib2. Both methods have failed. Trying load with xnmloadmib osa030c.mib and osa333c.mib the error ocurred was: Line 64: Error Defining object: found 'MODULE-IDENTITY' Expected one of following: OBJECT IDENTIFIER OBJECT-TYPE TRAP-TYPE ::= Trying load with xnmloadmib2 osa030c.mib the error ocurred was: Bad operator:On or around line 2949 Mib table is bad Trying load with xnmloadmib2 osa333c.mib the error ocurred was: Error: Two child nodes of portEntry, portType(2) and portType(5), have the same lable. Only one of then can be loaded at a time. Unload/reload MIBs as required to get the desired node into the tree. Error: Two child nodes of portEntry, portIndex(1) and portIndex(2), have the same lable. Only one of then can be loaded at a time. Unload/reload MIBs as required to get the desired node into the tree. Could someone tell us what´s wrong ? Thanks in advance.
