I think that this option could be user selectable.....just a check box in
the netmon configuration options...
Don't you thing?

Another one  is:

-Same IP Address & Multiple Community Names....
There are some devices that on the same IP Address they provide different
community names for their different controllers installed. Netview
-as is- con't handle such devices.

In other words netview objects should provide the ability for EASY
modification of their attributes.....


And the last one for today:

When SnmpCollect collects data for different instances, the database has the
ability to handle ONLY the instance as number. This is not
very user friendly especially when there are a LOT of instances on the
Network. An idea is to join there (inside the DB) the description
of the instance (interface) if there is a description configured on the
router.
