Check your /etc/hosts table and make sure it isn't listed differently
there.

Subject: [nv-l] snmpwalk problem
Hi!
Running NV Linux 7.1.3 fp 3
I have a strange situation whereby snmpwalk [bundled with NetView] will
not resolve to the correct IP address of a given host. Here's some
output.
/usr/OV/bin/snmpwalk -d isd-11976.gf.carilion.com system
Transmitted 41 bytes to 172.16.10.62 (172.16.10.62) port 161:
Initial Timeout: 3.00 seconds
The output shows that the address being used is 172.16.10.62. But,
here's is nslookup output.
Name: isd-11976.gf.carilion.com
Address: 172.23.52.16
And, if I use the Linux snmpwalk (/usr/bin/snmpwalk) it works just fine.
Why, how, and where is snmpwalk from NetView caching the IP address? I
stopped [including nvsecd] and restarted all daemons. The ovobjprint
output for the node has the correct IP address listed.
Any clues on how I can fix this issue?
Thanks.
Mahesh
