On Netview for Unix, I do it by exporting the Netview events to a database
(using a RIM access) and processing each of the event to calculate the down
time of each device. We use it to report on the sla. Of course it would be
easier if calculated by Netview but I don't know of any other way to have
Netview do it.

NetView 7.1.4 for Windows.
Is it possible to see the uptime for routers/switches with decimals, ie
99,545%. I can only see uptime without decimals, ie 99%.
Anyone know how this is calculated?
There isn't an obvious equivalent feature on NetView for Unix, though there
used to be an environment variable something like NMAVAILABILITY ?? which
collected data to feed to TDS - does anyone have a method for availability
data on Unix (not using Data Warehouse).
Cheers,
Jane
