If you are trying to do an upgrade, you must do it by using the upgrade installation. If you upgrade by copying files, the migration scripts that are part of a normal upgrade, will not migrate your data and configurations. Future service may fail to install or function correctly. Your customizations are retained during a migration installation. Should something catastrophic happen during migration installation, you should have a full backup you can restore. Regards, Geo. Hallo We are running netview 7.1.2 on solaris 8.
