If you are asking about migration, the answer is "yes".
ftp the backup directory you have created (/usr/OV/back.v7r1) to the
desired new box and install 7.1.4 with the -upgrade option.
The new install will find the backup directory and use the customizations
which are stored there when creating the new system.
If 7.1.4 is already on the box, then you will have to remove it, and then
re-install as outlined. Only the installation process has the migration
capability.

We are running netview 7.1.2 on solaris 8.
Is it possible, to restore the configs and maps,
saved with server setup > maintain > backup selective data > save all,
on a netview 7.1.4 system ?
