[nv-l] Answer to Jane's questions re: updated NetView 7.1.4 docs...

Hi, Jane (and everyone), I notice that
the old NetView info center (at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/tividd/td/NetView7.1.4.html)
has not yet been updated to point to the new one (at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tiv3help/index.jsp?toc=/com.ibm.itnetview.doc/toc.xml).
However, that will happen--probably not until January though. 

To find the updated books in the new
info center, look under "NetView" in the left navigation pane
of your browser. The first topic under "NetView" is "December
2004 Documentation Updates," which summarizes the changes. The remaining
topics are the book titles. Click the plus sign to the left of each book
title to expand the subtopics. The first subtopic for each book is the
PDF version of the book (you can print that too), and the remaining subtopics
are the headings in the table of contents for the respective book (this
is the HTML version). Click the plus sign to the left of each subtopic
(heading) to drill down further. 

You can also used the "Advanced
Search" field and function to search information across multiple books,
or even multiple Tivoli products and books (e.g., you might want to search
all the Enterprise Console 3.9 and NetView 7.1.4 information for a particular
string). For a detailed explanation of the search function, click "NetView"
in the left navigation pane, then in the right workspace area, scroll to
the section titled "Navigating and searching information."

I'm sorry this is not very clear. Please
let me know if you still have problems (just post another note to the mailing
list).
