Try an end run. · Define a symbol in a new file in /usr/OV/fields
· set the new field by creating a file xxx.import with the content of your object names
· Process the file with "nvdbimport -f AHE-Servers.import" · Create your SmartSet with the rule "isAHEServer=True" Note that there is already a field isSNMPSupported present. Tivoli NetView Support for DOE 301-903-0057 -----Original Message----- Hi List, When I try to create a smartset (subset from ALL_SNMP_Capable) with object list as attribute, I got the following error message: "The rule for this smartset exceeds the maximum length. Please respecify the rule." When I reduce the devices to about 40 in a list, it accepted. How can create a smartset (with object list) for more than 100 devices? Regards, David |
