Couple of things, here are the supported platforms for NetView 7.1.4(FP02):


Linux Intel:

   * Red Hat Version 7.2 (tested on the 2.4.7-10 kernel)
   * Red Hat Advanced Server Version 2.1 (tested on the 2.4.9-e.3 kernel)
   * Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advance Server 3.0 Update 2 (tested on
     the 2.4.21-15.ELsmp kernel)
   * SuSE Version 7.2 (tested on the 2.4.4-4GB kernel)
   * SuSE Version 8.0 (tested on the 2.4.4-4GB kernel)
   * United Linux Version 1.0 (SLES 8) (tested on the 2.4.21-138-smp
     kernel)
   * SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 8 SP3 (tested on the
     2.4.21.198-smp kernel)
   * SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 9 (tested on the
     2.6.5-7.97-smp kernel)


No RedHat AS 4.0 at this point. And even to install on 3.0 you cannot 
use the
regular 7.1.4 media you must download the refreshed 7.1.4(FP02) CD from
Passport Advantage.

As for the pdksh issue, with RedHat 3.3 and above there should be an 
extras CD
included that has a different KSH(one from ATT that provides KSH93 
support). I
would install that one instead of the one from the CD. In case you dont 
have the
extras CD, you would first have to force removal of pdksh or force the 
install of
the new one. There are a number of ways to do it, you just need to 
figure out
what works for you.
