Hello List,
I am running Netview 7.1.4 FP2 on AIX 5.2 ML04.
I have several linux servers and they are all show up as
non-snmp. I have call opened with Red Hat. These servers are
running RedHat ES3. I've checked the snmpd.conf file on linux servers (and made
a few changes per RH tech). I do an snmpwalk from the Netview and it just times
out. I check the /var/log/messages on linux and it shows the requests coming in
from Netview but nothing is returned/replied.
Another strange thing is the messages are only logged when I
restart snmpd (and then I do an smpwalk from Netview). So If I restart snmpd
(linux server), then I do an snmpwalk from Netview, the message file shows
"Received SNMP packet..", then it times out. I do another snmpwalk (also
times out) and I do not get another "received snmp" in the
/log/message file.
Any suggestions?
