Sure.  That will work.  But make certain that your tecint.conf file says
DefaultEventClass=Nvserverd_Event.   Also, in 7.1.4 the NetView event
severity is no longer sent to TEC by default.  If you want or need that,
then you will also have to obtain and apply at least 7.1.4 FP02 so that you
can also set  NvserverdSendSeverityTecEvents=YES.

You could also take the trapd.conf from 7.1.4 and use nvaddtrapdconf to
merge it with your trapd.conf from 7.1.1.  None of your existing entries
will be changed, only new ones will be added.

I am testing an upgrade from 7.1.1 to 7.1.4 fixpack 2 on AIX 4.3.3 ML09
(highest my hardware will handle).  I would like to use my trapd.conf from
my 7.1.1 installation due to several customized traps and my TEC
integration.  I have TEC 3.8 and cannot upgrade to 3.9 until later (at
least 3 months) nor can I change the baroc files or rulesets to use the new
TEC_ITS_* classes so I would like to keep the OV_Node classes.  Has anyone
else done this with success?  Is it possible?
