I'd use 'topas' to see what daemons are consuming resources. Also read up in the release notes about FFST and autotrace. You might want to turn off the autotrace. You might also check to see if snmpCollect is doing anything you did not configure it to do. What additional daemon do you think were started? Cordially, Leslie A. Hi All.. Our upgrades form 7.1.3 FP3 - 7.1.4 FP 3 went very smooth. However I ma noticing a lot more daemons loading up and seeing the when launching net view the start up is considerably slower than what was in 7.1.3 and navigating throughtout the app also seems a bit slow and 'choppy' at times, we are running on AIX 5.1 ML7, but planning to upgrade to 5.3 in the fall . Our prognosis reports look ok. My question is there any unnecessary daemons that we can shut off. I know I can turn off discover Services (server mon) as we don’t require monitoring of services ? We do not use netview to monitor any servers if this helps. |
