Hi,

I am running Netview 7.1.4 with FP3 on Win2K Server.

I am facing issues with discovery of remote routers/firewalls. I have done quite lot of testing and found that I am able to discover the remote devices with out FP3 on NetView 7.1.4. As soon as I install FP3, I am not able to discover any new remote devices and the loadhosts command also fails

I have tested this with 2 netview 7.1.4 servers, S1 with FP3 and S2 without FP3

When I run the loadhosts command on S1 it throws out error messages and not showing on the NetView MAP.

 C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc>loadhosts -m 255.255.255.0 -v

10.10.59.23 TestPC

Created host TestPC (3122) UP

Added UP interface 10.10.59.23 (3123) to TestPC

ERROR: Could not add node TestPC to topology: The requested object is unknown.

^Z

1 nodes added to database

1 interfaces added

But the same command on the S2 work fine with out any issues.

Is the FP3 creating this problem?  What exactly means by “Could not add node TestPC to topology”.

Please share your thoughts?

Best regards,
